OddsMonkey vs Outplayed 2026: Same Software, So Which?

If you are choosing between OddsMonkey and Outplayed in 2026, the single most useful thing to know is that you are largely choosing between two brands selling the same product. That was not true two years ago, and many online comparisons have not caught up.
What changed between OddsMonkey and Outplayed in 2025?
OddsMonkey and Outplayed (formerly Profit Accumulator) are owned by the same group. In September 2025 OddsMonkey announced that its toolset was moving onto the group's shared platform, describing the tools as "the same tools now available on OddsMonkey" and calling Outplayed "our partner platform". Subscribers describe the same move from the other side: one wrote on the MoneySavingExpert forums that "Everyone on Odds Monkey is being migrated to the Outplayed tools". Both brands still trade separately - what was consolidated is the toolset, not the companies.
So the OddsMatcher, Extra Place, 2UP Matcher, Lucky Finder, the acca tools and the casino tracker are the same on both. Any comparison claiming one has a faster matcher or a tool the other lacks is describing the pre-2025 market.
The transition was not smooth for OddsMonkey subscribers, who reported short notice and months of missing features afterwards. Outplayed users were already on this platform, so nothing changed for them. That difference in experience still shows in the Trustpilot review scores.

The picks in detail
Outplayed

Pros
- Runs the tools both brands now use - and Outplayed members never had them swapped underneath them
- Forum and support are the strongest in UK matched betting, and the real reason to pick it
- £29.99/mo entry tier, £10/month cheaper than OddsMonkey for identical software
- 0% commission exchange deals worth more than the subscription at real turnover
- Thorough beginner training that takes you from zero to a first profitable offer
- Trustpilot 4.3 out of 5 (August 2026), with support responsiveness the most-praised theme
Cons
- Annual pricing is presented first, so the monthly option takes a moment to find
- Takes some learning to navigate, and matched betting carries real admin overhead whichever tool you use
- Value tails off once the welcome offers are done unless you stay active
- Casino coverage is good but specialist casino-only services go deeper
OddsMonkey

Pros
- Same toolset as Outplayed since the 2025 consolidation - matcher, Extra Place, 2UP, Lucky Finder and acca tools
- 0% commission exchange deals, the most undervalued part of either subscription
- Free calculator suite usable without subscribing
- Extensive, long-established training library
- Identical annual pricing to Outplayed at £249.99 for the entry tier (as of October 2026)
- Active forum, and no reason to switch away if you are already established here
Cons
- The 2025 migration was handled badly - short notice, then months of missing features and broken pages
- Trustpilot 3.5 out of 5 against Outplayed's 4.3 (August 2026), largely because of that migration
- £39.99/mo entry tier is £10/month more than Outplayed for the same software
- Dense interface for absolute beginners
- Only repays itself if you stay active
Should I sign up to an oddsmatching service?
If you are new to matched betting, yes - and it is not a close call. The guides take you through your first offers in order, the support is there when something goes wrong, and the oddsmatcher turns "find a close match across thirty bookmakers" into a few seconds of filtering. Doing that by hand is possible, but it is slow enough that most people give up before they have made anything.
If you have the budget, take the annual plan. The welcome offers alone will typically cover the full year's cost in your first month, which leaves you the remaining eleven months to work through the reload guides and pick up what the forum knows before you have to decide whether to renew. On a monthly plan you face that decision again every few weeks, usually before you have had the value out of it.
The exception is someone coming back to matched betting who already knows how to find their own matches. You can work without a subscription if you are confident doing that - but even then an oddsmatcher saves a considerable amount of time, and time is the real constraint once the easy offers are gone.
Which is cheaper and what do the free trials look like?
On annual billing there is essentially nothing in it. As of October 2026, both charge £249.99/year for the entry tier and £349.99/year for the casino tier, and both top out at £3,000/year for Elite.
Monthly is where it differs. Outplayed's entry tier is £29.99/mo; OddsMonkey's is £39.99/mo. So at the basic level you're paying £10/month more for the same software from OddsMonkey, though most users would be better off taking an annual plan if they can afford the upfront cost. You'll make the money back and plenty more with just the sign-up offers.
When picking a plan, remember to keep some budget to play your bets - you can start with as little as £50 but £100-£200 is better. See our guide on required bankroll for more detail.
The free trials are the same on both: 7 days, with a 14-day money-back guarantee if you subscribe and change your mind. Use one to work the first welcome offers before you commit to anything.
Whose OddsMatcher tool is better?
Neither - it is the same OddsMatcher. Both brands run the same matcher against the same odds feed, so refresh speed, bookmaker coverage and filtering are identical.
Which has the better dutching and racing tools?
Also the same. The Each-Way Matcher, Extra Place tools, dutching calculator, Acca Catcher and 2UP Matcher appear on both, because they are the same tools. Racing is still where the steadiest value sits once the welcome offers are gone, and both cover the Saturday extra-place promotions equally well. Tool depth is no longer a reason to choose one over the other.
Which is easier to learn from scratch?
When I first started out, I found Outplayed's guides far more complete and easier to follow. OddsMonkey has made considerable progress since then, and the two are now comparable. Both will take a complete beginner through their first profitable offer with written guides and video walkthroughs. The difference shows up when the training runs out and you hit something it did not cover. That is when the forum matters, and Outplayed's is the stronger one, which is why it is our pick for beginners.
Which has the better community and support?
With the software now so similar, the decision ultimately comes down to community - and, in my view, that community alone can justify the subscription.
Matched betting problems tend to be specific and time-sensitive. A bookmaker voids a leg you thought qualified. An each-way market moves unexpectedly before a race. An offer credits late, leaving you unsure whether to lay immediately or wait. No calculator can tell you what to do in every one of those situations. The collective experience of thousands of matched bettors often can: chances are someone encountered the same problem last weekend and knows what happened next.
This is where Outplayed stands out. Its forum functions as the collective brain - or hive mind - of the UK matched-betting community, providing quick answers backed by years of shared experience. That support extends to its active Facebook groups, giving members another place to ask questions and compare notes.
The community is also a valuable source of opportunities. Members regularly flag reload offers and share close matches for popular strategies such as 2UP and extra-place betting. Challenges, profit diaries and stories from other members provide ideas and motivation too. It is more than a support forum: it is a constantly updated pool of practical knowledge that no calculator or OddsMatcher can replicate.
Are the 0% commission deals worth it?
Both platforms negotiate 0% commission deals with betting exchanges for members, and it is the benefit most often left out of the "is it worth it" calculation.
At a small scale it looks trivial: standard 2% commission on £1,000 of winnings is £20. But matched betting runs on turnover. An active bettor can comfortably put more than £50,000 through an exchange in a year, and 2% of that is over £1,000 coming out of your returns annually. Removing it is worth several times either subscription.
I have saved several thousand pounds in exchange commission through these deals. Whichever platform you choose, make sure you actually set the deal up - it is the single highest-value thing in either subscription for a regular bettor, and it is easy to overlook.
How much can you realistically make?
The bookmaker welcome offers are the front-loaded opportunity, and they are the same on both platforms. Someone new to matched betting, working through them carefully with the guides, can reasonably expect to clear well over £500 in their first month, often more. That covers a year of either subscription several times over before you are past the sign-up stage.
The caveats: welcome offers only exist once per bookmaker, so that first month is not repeatable - afterwards you are working reload, racing and casino offers for smaller amounts. It is not a salary and should not be planned for like one. It also depends on executing correctly, having enough starting bank to cover lay stakes, and which offers happen to be live. Mistakes cost real money - which is exactly why the community, rather than the software, is the thing worth paying for.
How does the mobile experience compare?
Identical, because it is the same platform. Both work in a mobile browser, and neither replaces a desktop for the actual work: the matcher's data tables do not compress well to a phone screen, and moving stakes between bookmaker apps and the matcher is fiddly on touch. Most people settle into working offers on a laptop and using their phone only to check a settled bet. If a polished mobile experience is a hard requirement, neither is the answer.
Which one is right for you?
Choosing from scratch: Outplayed. Same tools and the strongest community and support. Its tools are the ones both brands now run, so it is the one least likely to have them swapped underneath you again.
Already subscribed to OddsMonkey and happy: stay. It is the same software. Unless you pay monthly and want the £10/month saving, switching gains you little.
Paying monthly and cost-sensitive: Outplayed, clearly - £29.99/mo against £39.99/mo for an identical product.
Casino-focused: either. Outplayed's Diamond and OddsMonkey's Advanced are both £349.99/year (as of October 2026) and cover the same casino offers.
One thing that is no longer worth doing: paying for both. They are the same platform, so a second subscription buys you nothing but a second forum login.

Which is cheaper, OddsMonkey or Outplayed?
Is one platform's oddsmatcher better than the other's?
Should I subscribe to both?
What happened when OddsMonkey moved platform?
Do both offer 0% commission deals?
Is matched betting with these tools legal in the UK?
Yes. Matched betting is legal in the UK and profits are not currently subject to income tax under the same gambling-winnings exemption that applies to ordinary betting. Check current HMRC guidance, but the position has not changed in over a decade.
Will my bookmaker accounts get restricted?
Probably, eventually. Bookmakers restrict accounts showing matched-betting patterns - only betting on promotions, always taking best odds, never betting casually. This is called gubbing and it happens regardless of which platform you use. Both cover mug betting and stake variation in their training.
